The thrill of the big city lies not only in its vast array of nightlife attractions, but what is offered at hundreds of feet up in the sky. Skydiving. Yes, that’s right. Many major cities offer you the chance to skydive your way into one of the most memorable experiences of your life. Some extreme sports centers offer tandem skydiving and accelerated free-fall (AFF) jumps. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the city as you prepare for the ride of a lifetime. Free-fall for over a minute and then bask in a serene five to seven minute parachute descent that is enough to leave you begging for more.

It seems these days that you see skydiving in just about every major branch of human activity; from action movies to soft drink commercials to reality television to army parachute maneuvers. What draws many to skydiving is the extreme nature of the sport. Jumping out of a plane and free-falling through air at terminal velocity is definitely an adrenaline pumping good time.

For those who are looking for a more serious adventure, beyond tandem skydiving, there is the accelerated freefall, or AFF program. This program requires you to jump seven times with an instructor. Once you have completed seven successful parachute jumps, you will be allowed to skydive solo, without the instructor.

Skydiving tandem jumps average around two hundred dollars, but keep a look out for discounts during special seasons, such as early fall sales event. Typically, a twenty five percent deposit is required in advance. Advanced free-fall programs (AFF) start at one hundred dollars for ground school and charge two hundred and fifty dollars per level, for advanced programs. After you have completed the classroom and parachute jump training and are ready to jump solo, you can continue doing so at any skydiving school around the country. Most rent equipment and offer coaching classes so that you can continue to refine your skydiving techniques.

After you and your instructor jump out of the airplane, you will free-fall for around a minute. Tandem skydiving is great because just knowing that your instructor is right behind you all the time is comforting. When the parachute opens, you will then float effortlessly in the air for four or five minutes before landing. You may even get the chance to steer the parachute. As you are floating down, you have a great opportunity to appreciate the beautiful views and sights around you.

There are a lot of times when we parents see our children’s clutter on their desks like pencils, erasers, notebooks and just about anything. It could really be bothering for us because they always want to see their children’s cranny organized and well-set. It’s natural for parents always wanted the ideal setting for their kids even though they are still young that’s why they jazz up their kids’ bedroom just to have a good sleep and nice place to relax. And for that reason, they want their kids to be well thought-out and put things in the right place in order to have a more pleasing environment.

My children are twins, one girl and one boy and they are already 6 years of age. Of course, they don’t share one room just to keep privacy even though they are still young at age. I want them to be different from one another despite the similarities on how they look as well as their personality. During weekend we usually spend time together creating kid’s crafts that they can also use inside their room. I’m enjoying this bonding session with them while they are still young because once they reach the teenage years, we can’t do it anymore. They will have their own things to finish and to catch up with.

We often go to craft shops every month and get the supplies that we need for our weekly project. I usually don’t recommend letting my children buy read made canisters because I know that they won’t value it rather than creating their very own work of art. Children who do crafts keenly can appreciate it when they grow old and care for it as if it’s a treasure.

We just buy tin cans in medium sizes, ribbons, fabric of their choice, buttons and other embellishments that could make the project more attractive and creative. In this way, they can express themselves freely.

It’s really fun and simple, if your children want to do a kid’s canister too. They just need to purchase the items we bought, white craft clue and scissors. Cut the fabric and wrap it around the can then just add the embellishments. You can try blue for boys and pink for girls and it’s all done! Have fun!

If you’ve been blessed with a creative mind and a knack for frugality, then why squander that talent when you can make a statement with your own homemade wedding party favors? Everyone’s received that generic candle or overpriced custom chocolate wedding favor before. Why not save your pennies to put toward a better band, a nicer venue, a more fabulous dress or a premium cake filling instead? Your favors are meant to be a token of your appreciation, which will be even greater when you spend your time making them. Some unique wedding favors are eaten (candy, cookies, chocolate), some are functional (glasses, soaps, bookmarks) and some can be enjoyed later (CD or seed packet). Whatever you choose, make it an extension of your personality, which your guests will remember for years to come.

Edible party favors are wonderful because you can be sure no one will forget their favor at the end of the night! These tasty treats rarely make it out of the room, yet fulfill a vital purpose of feeding people as they’re waiting for their meals. You needn’t be a stellar baker to pull off delicious edible wedding favors. Consider the following edible favor ideas. There are homemade chocolates, chocolate-covered nuts, chocolate-covered pretzels, homemade candy bars, chocolate spoons to accompany cocoa or coffee, fudge, taffy, hard candy, personalized cookies, homemade jam/jelly/preserves, jars of herb-filled olive oil, custom dry soup mixes, dried fruit and nut mixes or cookies.

If you want something more enduring than edible wedding party favors, then you will need to decide whether you prefer something sentimental or something more practical. Sentimental wedding favors include CDs, photo albums, poems, magnets, ornaments or treasure boxes. Practical party favor ideas, on the other hand, may be seed packets, soaps, notepads, candles, key-chains or bookmarks. All of these items are easily made yourself, using things that are commonly found at craft stores. Not only will you make unique party favors to show off, but you’ll also ensure that your guests don’t soon forget your special day.

One of the most important facets of homemade wedding party favors is the presentation. No matter what you’re making, you’ll likely need some sort of wrapper or container for the favor itself, as well as decorative tags or ribbons. Containers and boxes are best found at craft stores, dollar stores and discount marts. Look for jars, baskets, bags, dishes, candle holders, pots, mugs or water cans. If you have a quality printer, then you can print custom tags yourself with your names and wedding date or a meaningful quote. If your printer isn’t that great, Kinkos will be able to print an order for you.
