Scrapbooks can be so much fun especially when the whole family does their part. Often times, individuals really don’t know how to start or what to do with the pieces of textured paper they have. Also, they don’t have the idea on what really the scrapbook is intended for. Sometimes, they just do it for hobby, projects or for income.
Whenever you desire to create a scrapbook, it is very ideal to list the things on what you want to see in the pages of the scrapbook whether it’s all about your family, friends, colleagues or probably a gift for someone special. Scrapbooks are really ideal for gift giving since memories are enclosed in it. It may be one page or just about five leaves, either way it’s the thought that counts. And what’s even more exciting is you can be able to create professional looking scrapbooks without spending too much money.

Here are some tips on how to start with a scrapbook project:

1. Think
Always think of the best things that you have shared with the person you intended to give the scrapbook. It often makes your scrapbook beautiful and creative when you have good intentions.
2. Write
Make sure to write the memories in order for you not to forget it. Do not hesitate to write how you really feel during those moments whether you’re happy, excited or just about anything. With this, you can appreciate the moments you’ve shared together and be able to come up with brilliant ideas too.
3. Photos
Find the best photos that really described the emotion you had during the times you we’re together whether you’re in the car while having a road trip or just about anything you find memorable.
4. Design from the Heart
Nothing could be sweeter when you really put your heart in making the scrapbook. Always consider that you’re giving it to a person that is dear to you and is very important to you. Memories are best shared when you have passion and dedication in what you are doing.
Designing scrapbooks need not to be expensive and really creative as long as it comes from the heart.

Highlight your most memorable times together with doodles or one-lines. Frame it and hang it in your room. It’s guaranteed to brighten up a cloudy day. Second, make your own intimate greeting cards with cute covers.

There are so many things to do just to get rid of a bad hair day, heartbroken situation or just to get over boredom. Sometimes, teens experience so much trouble on simple things that can ruin their day probably it is being caused by sudden change of hormones or just being affected by the current events that happen in their daily lives. These teens as well need a break from the scolding of their parents, afternoon lectures from their terror high school professors and peer pressure as well.

Doing stuff that has never been done before would definitely keep your mind free from the bondage of stress and demands. Do not always think that the whole world is against you for you can still do something and compel that negative force that goes along with it. Always cheer up and indulge yourself in dealing with your hidden talent and creativity. After a long day in school, why not check out the scrapbook shops for kits that can help you do a scrapbooking project that can serve as you emotional outlet. Make highly enjoyable tasks that would help you forget the strenuous activities.

First things first, create a picture collage of you and your best bud in school. Highlight your most memorable times together with doodles or one-lines. Frame it and hang it in your room. It’s guaranteed to brighten up a cloudy day. Second, make your own intimate greeting cards with cute covers. If you and your gal pal love to gab on the phone all night, why not use the red telephone for your cover page. Third, pick out your nicest family picture and make your own portable family portrait. It’s really light that you can bring it anywhere you want. Dress up the page of your handwritten diary with the help of these cute cut out images.

Making such scrapbooks does not need to take too much of your time for its easy and fun to do. You’ll not even notice that an hour has already passed. Let go of those off-putting emotions and start working with a more fun activity that you can share with your friends. After all, seeing your friend’s and families’ photos in a collage will not only be just for the sake of having one, but you’ll get inspiration from it to handle everyday hectic schedules.

The theme is one of the key elements to a successful scrapbook project.

Scrapbooking could be so much fun for it takes you back to memory lane because of the different elements that has in it. There are photos, write-ups, appliqués, colorful sheets and just the textured paper itself that makes it exciting to look at. But some individuals who really got no idea on how to do it have a hard time in thinking where to begin. In this article, you will be able to know and learn that there are so many ways to start with a scrapbook project. Finding the best materials is really fun and easy.

Here’s how:

By Theme

The theme is one of the key elements to a successful scrapbook project. First, you have to think the basic question, “for whom is the scrapbook for?” If you have already thought of that, you will be able to know and grasp the very idea for the entire project. There are a lot of themes to choose from whether it’s for babies, beach parties, children, Christmas gatherings, holidays or just about everything. When you have already set your theme, you will be able to know what materials you would need including embellishments, photos and sticky notes.

By Color

Scrapping by color could really be very interesting. Whenever you create scrapbooks and you still don’t have the idea and you have a lot of colorful ideas then it’s best to start to pick the right colors first. When choosing the colors, you should keenly select the colors that match to the idea you have on mind. It doesn’t have to be all primary colors or whatsoever since it’s just a stepping stone on selecting the embellishments and appliqués that are just right for your project. It helps you find the ideal color schemes and products for your scrapbooking projects.

By Type

Sometimes, people get confused with the theme and type. It’s way different. When you shop for materials and you still don’t have the basics then better start with fundamental materials like adhesives, scissors, trimmers, chipboards, stickers, ribbon, paper and the like.
When shopping scrapbook materials, you just have to select the things that you would only need in order not to exceed your budget and not to waste your money.

There are two ways to keep your stuff organized. First, systematize it by colors and second, classify it by shape. In a way, these two categories could help you find the things you need in the future as well as lessening the hardship when it’s time to keep it.

Scrapbookers often want to see how much patterned papers, colored buttons, sticky notes, photo paper, pins and other embellishments they have. They sometimes just place them on top of the desk or sometimes in a cute canister that they are familiar with. Many scrapbookers have this “Cute Container Syndrome” wherein they purchase a lot of cute canisters to be used for the storage of their scrapbooking materials which is practically wrong! Some of them even have printed labels to segregate their different stuff: some sheets of papers here, buttons there and pens everywhere! But it still doesn’t help.

Keeping things organized in your workplace should really a priority if you want to master the craft of scrapbooking. A lot of enthusiasts always tend to be confused with storage and organizing. They just keep just about everything without being particular on its usage and when the time comes that they need it, they have a hard time looking for the most useful ones. And when they have finally finished using them, just put them back on the canisters where they got them. Oh well, same thing, it’s scrappy. It is often said that “You can’t solve an organization problem with storage containers, and you can’t solve a storage problem by categorizing again your stuff.”

It is very vital to know the purpose of the items and not just categorizing it. There are two ways to keep your stuff organized. First, systematize it by colors and second, classify it by shape. In a way, these two categories could help you find the things you need in the future as well as lessening the hardship when it’s time to keep it. Besides, all that matters is that you determine your preferences and then apply them.

Many scrapbookers sometimes tend to have the “Do I have it Syndrome” wherein they tend to misplace their things after use and purchase a whole new set. And later realize that it’s just somewhere behind the shelves or kept well inside the drawer. No matter how cute the jars, files, boxes and so on, if it’s very well categorized and stored, all of them will become useful and would actually lose its function. They just become merely part of the room as decoration.

When travelling, it is really a necessity not to forget your handy digital cameras or an SLR if you have one. It is impossible that you remember everything like how the food looks like or the ambience per se.

Are you planning for an out of town trip? If yes, then I think this project is just right for you. Many of us are enjoying road trips especially when it’s more than an 8 hour travel. There will be a lot of cities that we can actually visit when we travel and different scenes could be seen along the road. Having an out of town trip does not happen always because of the busy schedules of parents and other accompanying adults so every moment worth picturing is really important. Whether the spree is just in your home state or you are driving across the country, your reminiscences will be sweeter when you put down everything out in a scrapbook.

When travelling, the space inside the car is too limited so it’s not really practical to bring all your scrapbooking kits with you. Instead, bring with you your notebook and a pen. Write everything that you find interesting along your trip like museums you have passed by, outlet stores that you went shopping to, restaurants and even fast food chains wherein you had your dinner or just the unfamiliar surroundings. If you have stayed in a hotel for overnight then it would be great too! Everything should be written to your journal as well as sketches of the fondest memories during your road trip.

Do not forget to take picture perfect moments. When travelling, it is really a necessity not to forget your handy digital cameras or an SLR if you have one. It is impossible that you remember everything like how the food looks like or the ambience per se. It is important to take photos for it would really remind you how much fun you had during the road trip.

Lastly, do not forget to buy souvenirs that could be pasted on your scrapbook such as post cards or maps. It could add up to the overall experience you had and a proof that you can show to your friends that you really went on a trip.

Do not also fail to remember to purchase scrapbooking materials when you get home that are somehow related to the road trip you just had which includes stickers of road signs and patterned papers with lovely background that are somehow similar to the places you have visited.
